Bestå is a study aid for learners of Norwegian preparing for Norskprøven levels A1–A2. Lessons, exercises, and grading are generated by third-party AI language models. Bestå is an independent product: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to HK-dir (Direktoratet for høyere utdanning og kompetanse), Kompetanse Norge, or any official administrator of Norskprøven, and using Bestå does not guarantee any exam result.
AI features require an API key from a supported provider (DeepSeek, Alibaba Qwen, or Google Gemini). Your use of that key is governed by your agreement with the provider, including their pricing. You are responsible for any charges the provider bills to your account. Keep your key confidential; the key is stored only on your device.
Exercises, explanations, and grades are machine-generated and may occasionally be wrong, outdated, or inconsistent with official exam materials. Use them as practice, not as authoritative teaching. The developer accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on generated content, including exam registration or immigration-related decisions.
Do not use Bestå to send unlawful content to AI providers, attempt to extract or misuse other users’ data (there is none stored server-side), or reverse-engineer safeguards. The app’s textbook structure and lesson content are original to Bestå; external resources mentioned in the app are independent third-party materials referenced for information only.
A future optional subscription (“Bestå Pluss”) may offer built-in AI quota without an API key. If introduced, it will be sold through Google Play Billing under terms presented at purchase, including Play’s refund rules.
Bestå is provided “as is”, free of charge. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims all warranties and limits liability for indirect or consequential damage. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including your statutory rights as a consumer in Norway/the EEA.
The developer may update the app and these terms; material changes take effect after being posted with a new effective date. You may stop using the app at any time; uninstalling removes all locally stored data.
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Disputes go to the ordinary courts of Norway, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection venues.
